I promise that not every picture I post will be in black and white from now on. However, the color version of this one was a little too grainy because of a high ISO setting. I think the black and white helps smooth it out a little.(Photographed on Jan. 11, 2009)
I have saved several high-ISO photos by converting them to black and white. Now, if I can just afford faster lenses, I can avoid those high ISO's.
ReplyDeleteI've saved many photos that were simply boring in color by converting them to B&W. And it does help with the grain to a degree too.
ReplyDeleteBut there's a reason black and white is a classic, and this is a perfect example. Sometimes it just fits the scene better.
