I don't know whether you were trying to snap this guy's pic without his knowing it, but it turned out pretty good. I would have liked him to be in sharper focus. That might be from camera shake, though. I've been in this situation many times -- need to use long lens, but my long lens is a lower-end Nikon, so it doesn't have a wide aperture, and in low-light situations I end up with a slightly soft photo thanks to camera shake. Also, he's in the dead center of the photograph.
I'm not sure what the newspaper had on it, but perhaps a slight pan to the left (or just shooting it horizontally instead) would have given us the latest news along with a (presumably) homeless man on the street. Did you happen to shoot any like that?

This is a crop I did quickly. I'll have to look at the original to see if it looks better or if I can crop it better.
