Hey! I was right! I have a shot of one of these from about 11 years ago coming out in a Blue Monday some time in the future. Don't remember exactly when though.
I remember when my brother was a Cub Scout, my dad stacked several tiny, thin squares of the metal left over after a dental x-ray (pretty sure there's lead in those, or maybe even silver). He and my brother carved out a hole in the car and put this dense stack of squares inside. It made for a heavier car that had enough extra acceleration to win.
I hope it goes FAST!

ReplyDeleteNice work -- on the car and the photo!
Very sleek. How did it do?

It didn't do very well. Allen wasn't paying much attention anyway and didn't seem to care. We need to re-engineer a little.
ReplyDeleteahhh! I remember those pine wood derby days! The car looks great! Wishing you much speed!!
